In a city of concrete, we plant the forest back.

Urvanam is two words stitched together: ur, the city, and vanam, the forest. That’s the whole idea — in a city of concrete, we plant the forest back.

We started because we kept seeing the same thing: outdoor spaces designed by one firm, built by another, and maintained by no one. The garden that looked great in a render and wrong on the ground. The patio that cracked in its first monsoon. The terrace that leaked. So we built a team that does all of it under one roof — the design, the stonework, the structure and the ongoing care — and takes responsibility for the whole thing.

Every project we take on is a small urban forest: structure that holds, greenery that thrives. Whether it’s a villa garden, a café courtyard or a campus green, the aim is the same — a space that’s built well and grows well, year after year.

Why one team matters

Most outdoor spaces fail in the handoffs. The designer draws something the builder can’t build. The builder builds something no one maintains. We remove the handoffs. The person who designs your garden is part of the same team that lays the stone and later comes back to prune the plants — so nothing gets lost between intention and result.

Values

  • Craftsmanship — We sweat the details most people never see: the slope, the drainage, the joint that lines up. It’s the invisible work that determines whether a space still looks good in five years.
  • Integrity — Straight pricing and honest timelines. If something isn’t worth your money, we’ll tell you — even when it means a smaller job for us.
  • Sustainability — Native plants and water-wise design, so your garden works with the climate instead of fighting it.
